GCUFO Mail Lists:

As the name implies, this list is for general discussions, fly-in notices, technical help, etc.

This list is mainly for announcing updates to the GCUFO.com homepage. May also be used for suggesting links to the homepage.

How to subscribe:
Send a blank message to:
[list name]-subscribe@gcufo.com
Replace [list name] with the list name (hangfly or web) to which you wish to subscribe. Any text in the subject and/or body fields will be ignored so there's no need to put anything there (unless you just like to type). You should quickly receive a subscripiton confirmation message. Please read it completely and you are good-to-go. Otherwise, send a message to mick@gcufo.com and I'll add you as a subscriber.

Mail List Etiquette:
Please DON'T post jokes, chain-letters, motivational messages or attachments to the lists! Limit your posts to chapter-related information. Chances are very good that no matter how new or funny a joke is to you, other subscribers have probably already received it! Not all subscribers are on a broadband connection - files larger than 1mb are not permitted.

FAQs:
GCUFO mailing lists use ezmlm (e[z]asy mail list manager). Please refer to the ezmlm user manual page for general information.

Q - "What's a mail-list?"
A - Basically, a mail list is one e-mail address that forwards messages to all subscribers to the list. Any number of folks may be subscribed so keep in mind that messages sent to the list address will be forwarded to everyone currently subscibing to the list (not a good idea to bad-mouth someone who may be a subscriber - unless you just enjoy conflicts...)

Q - "Why can't I cut & paste the above list addresses?"
A - The list addresses above are just images of real text. If they were real text, evil people could easily harvest the list addresses from this webpage and soon the lists would be besieged with SPAM. Unfortunately, this will happen sometimes anyway since evil people are persistent, if not very smart. This is also why messages posted to a list won't display the sender's address. Bottom line - you'll just have to type-in the address to subscribe - sorry...
